This year has been Chester Ethical Hackers society’s first year, and what a year it has been already! Although there are still a few months left for this final term, it is important that we hold our very first Annual General Meeting – or AGM for short. In accordance with Chester Students Union policy, we must conduct this before March. The committee have come to agreement that the best time to hold our AGM would be on the Thursday session following this development week, Thursday 28th February (2019) at the usual time of 17:00 – 18:00.
For our society to hold a legitimate AGM, it is important that all our members attend the meeting. The meeting is an opportunity for our members to hold the committee accountable and discuss ideas for the remainder of this academic year, as well as coming up with an approach to the start of next academic year. The AGM is also an opportunity for members to elect a new committee for the next academic year – which is why we would like to invite you to attend.
If you are a current student at University of Chester and have an interest in all things Cyber – we would like to invite you to come and put yourself forward as a future member of the committee. Please note that to be eligible for nomination, or to have voting rights in this AGM – you will have to be a member of the society. CEH membership is now half price and can be purchased from the Chester SU website.
The basic roles within the committee are (mandatory roles highlighted in bold):
- President
- Vice President
- Communications Officer
- Social Secretary
- Charity Officer
For more information about Student Society AGM’s, or any of the roles mentioned above – please visit the Chester SU website. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We hope to see you there!
